UBISOFT ANNOUNCES ASSASSIN’S CREED 3 SEASON PASS AND ‘THE TYRANNY OF KING WASHINGTON’
Ubisoft has announced plans to offer players a chance to get all five planned DLC packs for Assassin’s Creed 3 as a season pass for $29.99 or 2400 Microsoft Points (a savings of 25%).
The first pack of DLC will be available within six months of the game’s launch and for Season Pass holders, they’ll get access to it a full week earlier than anyone else.
In addition to the Season Pass announcement, Ubisoft has revealed the first DLC, The Tyranny of King Washington.
The Tyranny of King Washington provides an alternate or “what if” scenario where, after claiming victory during the revolution, George Washington has succumbed to the temptation of power and has declared himself the new King of America. Players are tasked with restoring the freedom that colonists had fought for and dethrone their old ally.
“History is our playground – and AC teams have always loved playing with historical facts and their consequences as a way to better understand a time period,” said Sebastien Puel, Executive Producer at Ubisoft. “While Assassin’s Creed III concentrates on history as it happens, we wanted to take some liberties with this DLC and tell you how things could have happened.”
In addition to the new single player experience, the DLC will feature new maps and characters.
The Season Pass is available for purchase for $29.99 on PSN or 2400 Microsoft Points on XBL. It also can be pre-ordered at GameStop and Best Buy.
Assassin’s Creed 3 will be available on October 30 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. A PC version will be released on November 20 and a Wii U version on November 18.
You can still pre-order the game at Amazon in both Regular and Limited Edition versions. If pre-ordered, both version will include the bonus Boarding Axe weapon and single player character: Captain of the Aquila.
